Severance Tax Incentive Data

Texas reduces or waives severance tax on gas that qualifies as high-cost under Section 107 of the Natural Gas Policy Act, and on several other categories certified case by case. These files are the certification record: which lease, which operator, which docket, and the dates that govern the incentive.

They matter because the same lease appears in the production data with no hint that its tax treatment differs.
